Northern was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana and is a graduate of LaSalle High School.

He established Kennedy Expressline Trucking and Lawn Care Service in 2002, and has been serving the South Bend/Mishawaka region for over twenty years.

Kennedy Expressline Trucking specializes in trucking, paving, sand/dirt hauling, excavation and more; while the lawn care service specializes in mowing, trimming, edging, snow removal, residential clean outs and more. Kennedy is known for their unmatched customer service, efficiency and professionalism.

Kennedy has honorably received recognition from the City of South Bend’s Office of Diversity & Inclusion for participating in their mentorship/protégé program involving prime and sub-contractors, and also recognized with an award from the Indiana Department of Transportation.

Northern is also a board member of CDFI Friendly South Bend, a non-profit organization working to connect with local borrowers, understand their capital needs, then match them to lenders to meet these needs. 

Kennedy Expressline Trucking and Lawn Care Service, employs previously incarcerated individuals who have served their time. Kennedy offers the proper training and tools needed for those who deserve a fair and second chance as they re-enter the workforce. By building them up, Northern believes this gives them the ability, confidence and dignity to develop the skills needed to be successful and provide a better quality of life for themselves and their families.
